Teachers and students
Excited about our renewable energy project? We have been contacting the student governments of schools in Olmsted County, but in order to turn this dream into a reality, we need your help. Please talk to your principal and/or student government and get your school started on fundraising today. The school that raises the most money will have the next solar panel project installed at their school! Help us out by posting our one page flyer in your classroom and asking for donations (found here). Your school's student government can collect and count these donations and mail them to:

Erberts & Gerberts Subs & Clubs donated 10% of their sales on Tuesday & Wednesday(May 30/31) to our Initiative. Thanks to them and to all of our supporters who ate a sandwich there.

Fine Arts Show - May 30th
Thank you to everyone who attended this event. We made over $600 in donations!

IBEW - (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) Has donated $3,000 in cash to the project and $8,000 more to cover the cost of labor!

Rochester Public Schools Foundation - June 3rd - A special thanks to the foundation for providing a $1,500 grant to help pay for the solar system.

Wendy's South donated 10% of their profits on Thursday, June 19 to our initiative!

The American Legion - has sponsored one panel for $1,500!

Rochester Fest- Thanks to the Rochester community for donating. We still have more chico-bags for sale. Read more about the product here: http://store.chicobag.com/ We raised about $900 from the community during this week of fundraising!

Certs - (Clean Energy Resource Team) has awarded OCsolar with a $5,000 grant!

Mayo Booster Club - Has sponsored two panels for $1,500 each

Mayo PTSA - Thanks for donating $1,500 to pay for the panels!

Mayo Clinic - Has committed to $6,000 over the next four years (or $1,500 per high school)!

Rochester Area Foundation - Has just awarded the OCsolar team a $10,000 grant putting us over our fundraising goal!

The Rebate Forms are in! - The Olmsted County Solar Initiative is proud to announce that it has exceeded its original fundraising goal of $33,000. We have just submitted the forms to the state department to pay for a $50,000 solar panel system that should be installed mid to late October! The OCsolar team extends its most sincere thanks to all of our sponsors and the Olmsted County Community for making this dream possible.

American Public Power Association - We have received a $75,000 grant from the American Public Power Association. This is amazing news for our community because it means that we will be able to sustain the project for the next three years!
